Green Award Jury Member

This unique contest has been awarding prizes to in-house and contract coaters since 2013. Prizes are awarded in five categories: performance, innovation, soft skills, and ecological and economic orientation of the company. The nominated companies present their concepts during the conference at which the awards are conferred.

As a long-serving member of the reader’s advisory council of the trade journal besserlackieren., I have been involved in the development of this benchmark competition for the surface treatment industry since the start. It was from my position on this council that I was chosen to be a member of the Green Award jury. (Kongress 2016).

Readers of the magazine benefit from my contributions to the reader’s advisory council of besserlackieren. We continuously advise the editorial staff on questions and problems, offering suggestions for solutions and concepts having to do with surface technology. And we get together to focus on ideas and topics that offer the readers a broader view or a different perspective.

Participation in committee supporting projects

Since standing still is the same as taking a step backwards, research and development are essential to the field of polymer pre-treatment. The fundamental prerequisite for good adhesion is ideal preparation of the surface: It has to keep up with the ever increasing number of coatings and adhesives and always be able to provide a solution. This is why I am active in the project-related committee of various research projects sponsored by AiF (research institute), BMWi (German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) and IGF (collaborative industrial research). I can contribute my experience, and when the project is finished, I can apply the research results to practical applications.
